About Us
Our Story
Private Oaks was born from a lifelong friendship and a shared belief that luxury and integrity can coexist. Founders Clayton Schenk and Shane Powell grew up together in the agricultural heart of south-central Nebraska — a place where hard work, honesty, and connection to the land shaped who they are today. Both raised in farming families, they learned early on the value of simple, natural ingredients and the importance of caring for what sustains us. After college, life took them down different paths. Clayton played football and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hastings College before building a successful career in agricultural sales. Shane graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with a Bachelor’s in Business and returned to work on his family’s farm. For over fifteen years, each cultivated experiences in their respective fields — but their shared passion for health, fitness, and helping others live better lives never faded.
The Private Oaks Journey
Private Oaks grew out of that passion — a desire to create something genuine, healthy, and accessible. Tired of seeing everyday products filled with synthetic and harsh ingredients, Clayton and Shane set out to craft soaps that reflect the purity of their roots and the richness of nature. Every bar of Private Oaks soap is made with organic oils, natural clays, and mineral salts, combining craftsmanship and care to promote cleaner, healthier living at a fair price. At Private Oaks, we believe premium shouldn't mean pretentious — or expensive. Our mission is simple: to provide premium, all-natural products that nurture both body and spirit — created by two lifelong friends who still believe that the best things in life are made with purpose, patience, and a touch of Nebraska pride.
